Shimla Manali Celebrates White Valentines Day
The popular tourist destination Manali, recorded a low of minus one degree Celsius, and about 18 to 20 cms of snow. Two days prior to this tourist station witnessed the season’s lowest temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius below the freezing point. And today Shimla Manali Celebrates White Valentines Day
The biting cold wave conditions sweeping most parts of the state aggravated as mercury dropped. Kalpa, around 250 km from here, was the coldest at a minus 2.8 degrees Celsius and it saw about 18 to 20 cms of snow.

It became simply perfect Valentine’s day when the white blanket of snow covered the most happening tourist destinations like Shimla and Manali. The cold wave is at its best in the state of Himachal Pradesh turning the hill stations even more romantic.
The residents shivered as icy winds brought down the lowest temperatures. Shimla, recorded a minimum of one degree Celsius, and about 2 to 3 cms snow. The nearby tourist spots like Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda experienced slightly heavier snowfall.
The rest places of Himachal Pradesh like Dharamsala, Palampur, Solan, Nahan, Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur and Mandi towns received moderate rain, bringing down the temperature considerably.
As the news of the snowfall spread, tourists and especially honeymooners started arriving at the hill stations, said members of the tourism industry.
