Heavy landslides near Rahinallah at Rohtang Pass has closed the Manali – Leh road and further transportation to Keylong and Spiti.
As per reports hundreds of vehicles have been stranded on both side of the landslide site. Border Road Organisation (BRO) which is responsible for maintaining the road on this stretch has moved men and machinery to clear the road.
Himachal Pradesh is experiencing a very heavy monsoon downpour these days with all towns of Himachal receiving very heavy rains. Beas river is also flowing well over the danger mark in Kullu and Mandi district and traffic was also disrupted near the Hanogi Temple as water from Beas reached the road blocking traffic for few hours.
